We are looking for 8 amazingly talented boys who will share the lead roles of Dennis and Darvesh in this extremely exciting musical of David Walliams’ book The Boy in the Dress.

Boys need to be based in the Midlands or London area.

Both boys should be over 11yrs in September and no older than 13yrs by March 2020.

Dennis (male)

Dennis our hero... star striker... He’s captivated by Vogue magazine. He has a number of challenging solos and the music is written for an unbroken voice. Dennis should be a very confident actor as he is the lead role and carries the story. The movement will be focused around football matches in which he has to shine so good dance ability is preferable.

Darvesh (male)

Darvesh is Dennis’ best friend. Another brilliant footballer he is witty and sparky. Darvesh is Sikh and wears a patka referred to in the script. Darvesh doesn’t have any solo songs but will sing a lot in the production and the music is written for an unbroken voice. He should be a very confident actor and enjoy dancing.
